Human sexuality has many dimensions, including cultural ones. Since the right to realise one's sexual potential is one of the basic human rights, it seems important to look at how certain issues related to sexuality, such as masturbation, homosexual behaviour, premarital sex or nudity are influenced by culture or religion. This article summarises the data collected so far on the relationship between these two issues.
