Cleaning up

Spring has sprung for good. Nature is coming to life and we are in a happy mood. We are feeling reinvigorated and can start spring cleaning again. However, this great feast of perfectionists is not to everyone's taste. For some, the prospect of spring cleaning is a dream come true. The basis for success is good organisation.

Top to bottom

When it comes to doing the tidy-up itself, the order is the most important thing. The simplest and most basic rule is: from top to bottom. Always start with objects and furniture on a higher level (near the ceiling) and work your way down to the floor. In this way, the dust to be wiped off will fall onto surfaces that have not yet been cleaned. The order of the different rooms is also important. The best way is to start with the rooms you use least often, such as the bedroom. Finally, choose the ones that are subject to the most frequent daily use, such as the kitchen or living room.

Don't be discouraged by the volume of work. Spring cleaning can turn into a positive opportunity to spend time with loved ones and even a form of physical activity. Good organisation and consistency in sticking to the plan are the guarantors of spring success.
