Stem cells give us the opportunity to show and understand the complexity of our organism. They can be grown in the laboratory and their development and division can be controlled. The process of stem cell division, the factors affecting it and the eventual formation of a specialised cell type are very complex. These cells build up the entire organism (from skin, bones, to brain, lungs and more) so further research and observation is needed.
