It is characterised by episodes of overeating, after which patients - in order to prevent weight gain - take various measures, such as provoking vomiting. While the nature of the problem is rather well-known to patients, another aspect remains completely enigmatic for them, namely the causes of bulimia. So what might be responsible for the onset of this type of eating disorder?
