It is well known that dogs are used to find drugs or explosives due to their excellent sense of smell. However, it is less well known that these animals are also capable of detecting various human diseases. More and more papers are being published on the ability of dogs to recognise various human cancers - this kind of 'research' would be extremely beneficial, if only because detection by dogs would be essentially non-invasive.
