In most cases, they are the result of various developmental abnormalities (visible from birth). The shape and size of these lesions vary considerably, and they develop as a result of a large accumulation of vascular endothelial cells or due to vasodilatation. Hemangiomas can disappear with age (up to the age of 10 years) or they can be removed. The following types of haemangioma can be distinguished: stellate, cavernous and flat haemangiomas. Some hemangiomas may impair the smooth functioning of the associated organs. Before deciding to remove a hemangioma, it is necessary to consult a specialist.
