It is well known that green tea has very beneficial effects on our health. It is used by many people not only as a remedy but also when losing weight or going on a diet (perhaps it will be used to fight obesity).
Recent scientific studies show that it can also reduce the absorption of fats by our body and the absorption of sugar from starch. If this were true, hyperglycaemia and also excessive (over)intake of sugar could thus be prevented. Further research into the role of green tea using larger patient groups is therefore needed.
