Some HIV-infected patients complain of experiencing increased hair loss or of their hair becoming significantly thinner than before the disease. The truth is, however, that the virus infection itself is rarely the cause of the aforementioned complaints - it is far more likely that HIV-related disorders contribute to hair loss.
