According to statistics, in the United States alone, one person develops the aforementioned disorder every 65 seconds. The considerable prevalence of dementias has led various researchers to look not only for methods of treating them, but also for rapid diagnosis - researchers at Australia's Florey Institute for Neuroscience and Mental Health report that blood tests could be used in the diagnosis of dementias.
