The latest issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine presents US guidelines for the pharmacotherapy of dementia. Based on a review of the literature, the efficacy of five therapies affecting cognitive function, general functioning, behaviour/ mood and quality of life/activities of daily living was assessed.
