The figures that illustrate to us how big the plastic pollution problem is are frightening. Every year, 9 million tonnes of plastic are dumped into the oceans. This is equivalent to one truck full of plastic entering the waters every minute. This issue absolutely requires action, particularly at the individual level. One of the things we can do on this subject is to decide to use a bar of shampoo instead of one in a bottle.
