Hot days are an unmissable part of the summer months. For many people, however, high temperatures are a nuisance, so we have put together some tips on how to survive this period.
Method 1: Keep hydrated. In hot weather, drink at least 3 litres of mineral water a day. The body loses water, electrolytes and mineral salts very quickly with sweat. Vegetable juices (without sugar) with a high content of parsley, celery and tomatoes will replenish potassium deficiency. A lack of potassium is a frequent cause of swollen feet. It is also worth taking advantage of the benefits of herbs. I particularly recommend drinking herbs," says Dr. Beata Stopinska, a dermatologist.Many ofmy female patients complain of problems with venous and lymphatic circulation, and have a high tendency to swelling.For them, I recommend an oral treatment in the form of special herbs to drink with a draining effect. For swellings, lymphatic drainage is even more effective, which stimulates the lymphatic centres and after 40 minutes our body feels as if 5kg has fallen off," she adds.
Method 2: Choose the right clothing. On hot days, it is best to choose light, airy and lightweight outfits made of natural materials. These will provide more airflow and therefore more comfort. And don't forget your headgear to protect against heat stroke.

Way 3: Use the sun responsibly. When the hot weather arrives and temperatures are over 30 C' outside, it is best to spend time in the shade. Avoid sun exposure between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., when sun exposure is strongest. If you do go outdoors, apply a suitable sunscreen, at least SPF 30. As the sun's rays stimulate the formation of hyperpigmentation and exacerbate certain skin problems e.g. rosacea, vascular lesions, and of course accelerate the ageing process (through the formation of free radicals) the use of photoprotective preparations is essential. A novelty on the market and my choice this summer is a spray sunscreen," says Dr Stopinska.
