Threads, lasers and micrografts - new trends in cosmetic surgery

Facial skin care in women

The fight against beauty imperfections is becoming easier and easier with the use of state-of-the-art technology. This is particularly true in two areas of cosmetic surgery - gynaecology and facelifts and other body areas. Thanks to the fact that most procedures today can be performed using painless and non-invasive methods, it is safe to say that the scalpel is becoming a thing of the past. Today, the most important trends in modern cosmetic surgery are minimalism, the use of Aptos threads for body and facial modelling, and laser treatments.

Aesthetic gynaecology

Gynaecological laser treatments are most commonly performed to combat discomfort and body deformities resulting from reduced hormone levels during the menopause or caused by childbirth.

This applies in particular to laser vaginal shrinking - a procedure that not only restores the enjoyment of sex, but also prevents the development of serious conditions such as genital prolapse. It is nothing complicated - laser vaginal shrinking involves heating the collagen accumulated at the entrance of the vagina and in its channel, which is responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the body. Once heated, the collagen fibres shorten and thicken and, as a result, the tissues shrink. The result is an improvement in the condition of the vagina and a shrinking of the vaginal walls, and therefore a return of satisfaction with intimate life.

The shrinking of the vaginal walls is one element of the treatment for stress urinary incontinence. This embarrassing condition occurs when the elasticity of the vaginal walls is reduced and the pelvic floor muscles relax (e.g. after childbirth or during menopause), and the angle of the urethral orifice becomes inappropriate. The laser restores elasticity to the vagina, while stimulating mucosal activity and inducing the multiplication of collagen fibres. As a result, the angle of the urethral orifice returns to its normal form and the incontinence disappears.

Aptos threads

Modern cosmetic surgery is not only about lasers - an equally innovative method of performing procedures without the use of a scalpel is the thread lift. This involves inserting polypropylene threads under the skin using extremely thin needles. This reduces the invasiveness of the procedure to a minimum, and most types of lifting involve only one insertion, leaving no visible scar. The threads are used to create a special scaffolding for the tissues, making it possible to contour different areas of the body, face and neck, as well as remove wrinkles and imperfections.

The types of treatments performed are numerous, as different types of threads and needles are used for different parts of the body or face. The Happy Lift treatment involves the use of threads with metal hooks, while the Aptos Excellence dissolvable threads are attached with special micro-needles, attached opposite each other, so that they form a spiral pattern.

The Aptos Light Lift range of sutures, on the other hand, allows any part of the body to be corrected with long sutures inserted under the skin in just one pass, some of which are attached with a double needle that separates during the procedure. All this is done to maximise the precision of the thread lift, while effectively avoiding scarring.
