Ear examination

The optimal placement of an active implant in the patient's ear is very challenging. The correct placement allows for the reception of high quality sound and a high degree of conduction to the middle ear. Analysing the best place to place the implant cannot be done during surgery, but must be prepared in advance by identifying a suitable location. This is what the mathematical model of an ear with an implant being developed by researchers at the Lublin University of Technology is designed to do.
